New electronic attendance system

The following process is followed for the actual electronic taking
of attendance (continued):

Back at the office – lecturer can view a visual summary of the
session attendance data (dashboard) or actual student
attendance sessions
–
The embedded dashboard allows the lecturer to look at;
•
the attendance statistics for class sessions spread across the teaching
period
•
Using filters, data can be viewed in more detail (i.e. per sub-group, for a
week or per session – useful identify attendance trends and whether class
attendance between groups is similar)
Advantages of having a dashboard linked to the
attendance data:

identify students that do not attend regularly (might been at risk
and struggle with the content)
–
pick up patterns indicating when attendance is dropping
(attendance deviations between groups)
