New electronic attendance system

The following process is followed for the actual electronic taking
of attendance:

students walk up to proximity enabled device & scan their student
cards (5 minutes before/after class) – linked to password protected
attendance system
–
unique identifier of the student - compared to the class list (student
details would be displayed and recorded - student number,
surname, initials, group, date, and time were recorded)
–
student confirm information on screen - verify that the attendance
was recorded successfully
–
If their details did not appear they would rescan their card (if the
student card cannot be matched to a valid record the student
would see a notice that indicate that they need to sign the manual
list
–
If a student forgot to bring their card they also sign the manual list
