Research Methodology



Build on the existing manual approach and enhance it



An “Appreciative Inquiry” approach

(Troxel, n.d.)

was followed;

–

affirms the practices or procedures that are in place

–

investigate how certain changes can be made to make it

future proof



This research method falls within the domain of action

research, with the intention to

(Saunders,

et al.

2009:148)

–

look at the purpose and context of the problem,

–

diagnose what should be done,

–

plan what should be done,

–

implement the plan and finally

–

evaluate the outcome



This process can be repeated multiple times if the problem

is not fully solved during the first cycle
